6 wedding trends I’m loving in 2026

2026 weddings are all about intention. An intention to curate a day that feels elevated, personal and thoughtful. It’s less about “following trends” and more about choosing details that create a feeling.

Here are a few things I’m loving right now in 2026:

Burgundy & rich accent tones

Neutral color palettes aren’t going anywhere, but couples are layering in deeper, richer tones to add contrast and depth.

I’m seeing:

  • Burgundy florals mixed into soft white palettes or greenery

  • Deep wine-colored bridesmaid dresses

  • Accents in signage, linens, and table details

Lace details

Some may say lace is making a comeback, but I don’t think it ever left. However, now it’s being used in non-traditional ways.

Think:

  • Delicate lace trim around invites, signage or place cards

  • Textured lace sleeves, veils or overlays

  • Subtle lace details integrated into the tablescape

Drapery + soft, layered textures

Draping is everywhere right now, and it instantly elevates a space - creating softness and an immersive, intimate environment.

I’m currently loving:

  • Fabric installations behind sweetheart tables

  • Draped ceremony backdrops

  • Soft ceiling treatments in tents or indoor venues

Intentional floral arrangements

Florals are becoming both design elements and functional pieces, used to feel interactive and unique. And bonus points if you can use the flowers twice (in both the ceremony and reception spaces).

This includes:

  • Floral seating charts

  • Escort displays built into installations

  • Florals used to guide guests through the space

Authentic content

Couples still love videography, but there’s a been a huge shift toward real, in-the-moment content that feels more personal to you.

I’m taking note of:

  • Candid iPhone clips that feel real and impactful

  • Behind-the-scenes moments show snippets of the day you can quickly look back on (+ may have missed otherwise)

  • Real, raw and emotional content that’s worthy of keeping forever

Guest-focused design

Weddings are being designed with the guest experience in mind. It’s no longer just about how a space looks, but how it feels to be there, and how it’s laid out with intention.

That looks like:

  • Thoughtful layouts that flow naturally

  • Cozy lounge areas

  • Moments that feel interactive, not just observed

Final thoughts

The common thread in 2026 weddings is intention. Every detail, from color choices to content to florals, is chosen with purpose. The result is a day that feels cohesive, meaningful, and completely personal.

At the end of the day, do what feels true to you + your partner, because that’s what this celebration is truly all about.

If you’re planning your wedding and want a day that feels seamless and joyfully you - I’d love to help bring it all together.
